We departed Coffs Harbour with an untried sailor, Katie, on board. Although she was willing to try open ocean sailing in the end it was a bit too much strangeness with new experiences and unfamiliar relatives! We aborted our trip to Vanuatu and cruised the coast of Australia instead. At the end of the sumer vacation Katie was quite a sailor.
