Our choice for email while out and about is sailmail, cruising without email would not be as much fun.

Apart from those forecasts and grib files avaible through winlink or sailmail, we use and recommend buoy weather to help in passage planning, and provide passage forecasts. We tend to use local met services for local weather conditions, most of which we can get via saildocs on sailmail.
